About
cosyte builds the open-source parsers for the data standards that hold healthcare together, and consults on the integrations that put them to work. The credibility lives on GitHub. The engagements ship as pull requests into your repository.
Who we are
cosyte is a solo company. The same person writes the parsers, takes the discovery calls, scopes the engagements, ships the code, and stays on for the runtime support. There is no sales floor, no demo team, no out-of-date marketing site — the site you are reading and the code on GitHub are the company.
We open-source the standards-parsing layer because that is where credibility lives in healthcare integration. A consulting team that has never read the HL7 v2 grammar or the X12 envelope rules is hard to evaluate. A team whose parsers are public, MIT-licensed, and standards-conformant is easy to evaluate — read the repository, run the tests, decide.
Healthcare-integration work has to be right the first time. A silently-dropped lab result, a wrong dose on an order, a denied claim from a malformed 837 — these are not engineering preferences, they are clinical and financial harms. The engineering bar has to set the company posture, not the other way around.

Each principle is a claim you can evaluate against the open-source code and the engagement experience — not an aspiration.

Parsers tolerate real-world quirks without silently dropping data; emitters refuse to ship a message that does not conform. Postel's Law, applied to clinical data.
Fixtures are synthetic. Logs are redacted. A BAA is executed before any protected health information touches our environment. PHI discipline is a design constraint, not an afterthought.
The credibility lives in public, under MIT. Reusable primitives land back in the open-source @cosyte/* parsers; client-specific code stays in the client repository they own.
Every parser ships with a KNOWN-LIMITATIONS file and a capability surface. Every engagement names what is and is not in scope, before the BAA is signed.
